Well, this is a first. Last time I looked in Nadia’s microwave, it still had cardboard packaging in it, along with a can of root concealer for her hair and some spare contact lenses. This is a cool way to make cauliflower cheese and, as a more frequent microwave user, it’s right up my street.
Ingredients
- 1 whole cauliflower, leaves trimmed off
- 1 quantity Perfect Cheese Sauce, hot and freshly made
- 3½ oz (100 g) grated cheese (whichever cheese you like)
How to Make It
- Using a small paring knife, remove and discard the innermost portion of the cauliflower core without cutting off the florets. This will help to cook the cauliflower all the way through.
- Put the cauliflower, cored-side down, in 2.5 cm (1 in) of water in a microwave-safe dish. Cook in the microwave on high for 7–10 minutes. Drain.
- Top with the hot cheese sauce and sprinkle with the grated cheese.
