This simple Basque dish is incredibly tender and tasty and perfect with all those onions.
Ingredients
- 1 lb sliced onions
- 6 calf livers
- 1/3 cup milk
- ΒΌ cup of canola oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tbsp white flour
How to Make It
- Place the calk livers and milk in a bowl and let soak for 40 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet.
- Caramelized the onions on low heat for 30 minutes.
- Use a tong to remove the onions and drain on a paper towel.
- Shake any milk from the livers and dredge through the flour.
- Place the livers in the same skillet.
- Fry for 4 minutes on each side.
- Place on a platter and smother the livers with the caramelized onions.
