Ingredients
- 2 lbs pie pumpkin (peeled and seeded)
- 16 sheets filo (thawed)
- 4 oz butter
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1 cup walnuts (chopped)
- 1 cup of sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
How to Make It
- Grind the pumpkin. Melt the butter in a pan. Add sugar and pumpkin. Cook until the pumpkin is soft. Leave it to cool, and then add cinnamon and walnuts.
- Preheat oven to 350 F – 400 F. Take a filo sheet and fold in half. Coat with melted butter.
- Fold the bottom edge, then fold the sides. Roll away until it is tight. Coat with more melted butter.
- Replicate this process for the remaining filo sheets and put them on a parchment-lined pan.
- Bake until it turns golden brown. It usually takes about 20 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
