Ingredients
- 12 ounces penne
- Chopped aromatic vegetables (onion, carrot and celery)
- 10 ounces ground beef
- 2 cups peeled chopped tomatoes
- Olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- Grated parmigiano
How to Make It
- In a skillet, warm 6 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the aromatic vegetables and cook until soft.
- Add the beef and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring often, then add the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 40 minutes.
- Cook the penne in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain, and add to the skillet. Sprinkle with parmigiano and toss. Serve hot, sprinkled with parmigiano.
