You can actually use a nice crisp apple of any color for this recipe, since the green color comes from the parsley. Parsley is bright and sweet and plays well off the apples. If you have never had a green smoothie, this is a great one to start with. It is refreshing and filling and packed with goodness.
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 apple, chopped
- 1 banana
- 1⁄2 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 cup water, nut milk, or soy milk
- 2 tablespoons cider syrup
How to Make It
- Combine the apple, banana, parsley, almond butter, water, and syrup in a blender (a superpowered blender like a Vitamix will make the greens completely smooth).
- Blend until thoroughly uniform.
