Ingredients
- 2 medium size tuna steaks
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 3 Tablespoons dry white wine
- 3 Tablespoons mixed fresh herbs such as chives, parsley, basil, and thyme
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Pinch of ground cumin
- Serve on a bed of mixed greens with tomatoes, green onions, capers and more
How to Make It
- You are going to sear the tuna so the cooking time is going to be very short.
- I would suggest lining up all the other ingredients to get your salad assembled as soon as the tuna is ready.
- Heat the oil in a large iron skillet and add also the sesame seeds and the wine.
- Heat for 3-4 minutes to make sure the oil and skillet are hot.
- Brush some oil on both sides of the tuna steaks and season with the cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Place the tuna steaks in the skillet and sprinkle all the herbs on top.
- Cook for a few minutes on each side, up to 5 minutes, depending on the thickness of your tuna and how you like it.
- Serve on the mixed greens with any other veggies and add-ons that you want.
