Ingredients
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ¼ cup sugar
- Dash of salt
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- 1 cup milk or coconut milk
- 1 beaten egg
How to Make It
- Combine the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a bowl.
- Add the coconut oil, milk and egg and stir until you have a batter.
- Line the slow cooker with parchment paper.
- Pour the batter in the slow cooker.
- Cook on high for 2 hours.
- Serve the cornbread with a bit of butter and honey while it’s still warm.
