Puff pastry, icing sugar and cinnamon just three simple ingredients. But believe me, these are much more than a sum of their parts. All you need is a pot of coffee and a few friends.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 oz (25 g) icing sugar
- 7 oz (200 g) puff pastry
How to Make It
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F), Gas mark 7. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and icing sugar.
- Roll out the puff pastry into a neat rectangle about 20 x 30 cm (8 x 12 in). Cut it into 12 rectangles, each about 5 x 10 cm (2 x 4 in). Sprinkle each small rectangle with about ½ teaspoon of the cinnamon sugar, then roll into a little cigar shape. Dust the outside with a little more cinnamon sugar, then place on the baking tray. Place in the fridge to chill for 15 minutes.
- Place the tray in the oven and bake for 8–12 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
