Ingredients
- 1 (15.5-ounce) can chickpeas
- ¼ cup tahini
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
How to Make It
-
Make the Hummus
- Pour off ¼ cup of the liquid from the chickpeas and pour the remaining chickpeas and liquid into a blender or food processor. Add the tahini, lemon juice, salt, and cumin. Blend or process on high until very smooth. Do not be afraid to run your blender or food processor for a long time (like 2 to 3 minutes). This is where the creaminess comes from. While the machine is running, add the oil in a thin drizzle. Serve or Store
- Serve the hummus at room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
