Petite-diced tomatoes save time prepping tomatoes for this hearty meatloaf.
Ingredients
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp chopped garlic
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- ⅓ cup steak sauce
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp seasoned salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 lb ground round
- ¾ cup drained petite diced tomatoes
- ⅓ cup uncooked quick-cooking oats
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
How to Make It
- Preheat oven to 350°. Sauté onion and garlic in hot oil in a small skillet over medium heat 5 minutes or until tender. Whisk together egg and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Add ground beef and next 2 ingredients; combine, using hands. Shape mixture into a 9- x 5-inch loaf; place on a lightly greased rack in an aluminum foil–lined broiler pan.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 5 minutes or until no longer pink in center. Place barbecue sauce in a small bowl. Cover and microwave at HIGH 30 seconds or until warm. Spread barbecue sauce evenly on top of meatloaf. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
