Breakfast stuffed apples recipe

Ingredients

  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup dried figs
  • 1 tsp coconut sugar
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp grated lemon zest
  • ½ tsp grated orange zest
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • ½ cup water
  • 4 apples
How to Make It
  1. In a bowl, mix maple syrup with figs, coconut sugar, pecans, lemon zest, orange zest, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice and coconut oil, whisk really well and stuff apples with this mix.
  2. Add the water to your slow cooker, add ½ teaspoon cinnamon as well, stir, add apples inside, cook for 1½ hours on High while covered.
  3. Divide apples between plates and serve them for breakfast. Enjoy!
