This is a quick and easy horsd oeuvre recipe given to me many years ago by a fan. The cheesy treats are a big hit at potluck parties.
Ingredients
- 1 French baguette, cut into ½-inch (10 mm) slices
- ¾ cup (180 ml) loose pitted dates, chopped
- ¾ cup (180 ml) pecan or walnut pieces
- ½ cup (125 ml) blue cheese, crumbled honey
How to Make It
- Place baguette slices on a cookie sheet and lightly toast under broiler. Be sure to toast both sides.
- Once the toasts have cooled, top each with pieces of dates, nuts, and cheese. Place under broiler just long enough for cheese to melt. Drizzle each toast with a little honey.
