Mexicans love their cerveza, or chela (slang for beer). It’s no wonder they would take their passion one step further and create cervezas preparadas, or beer cocktails. The basic cerveza preparada is called a chelada: beer plus ice, lime, and salt. There are regional variations in the ingredients, but a michelada (which is also considered a good remedy for a hangover) adds Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce to a chelada.
