I first experienced this mouth-watering dish in a teppanyaki restaurant in China. The fillet beef was so tender and tasty with a compliment of flash fried fresh veg. It is such a healthy, nutritious meal, yet so quick and easy to make. I hope you enjoy it.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) of fresh beef fillet steak – cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons of rapeseed or vegetable oil
- 4½ oz (125 g) of broccoli florets
- 2 carrots, sliced thinly
- 1 pinch of freshly ground black pepper
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
- 1 chopped spring onion
- 25 mm (1”) of fresh ginger, finely grated
- 2 tablespoons of toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon of good quality soy sauce
How to Make It
- Take a large frying pan or wok and heat the oil over a medium to high heat until browned (about 3 minutes). Set aside the fillet beef strips.
- Add broccoli, red pepper, carrots, ginger and spring onion to the pan and stir fry for about a minute.
- Add beef and now stir all ingredients for a further minute. Add a tablespoon of soy sauce and the sesame seeds and cook for a further 1 minute. Now serve immediately on to pre-warmed plates and enjoy.
