Love saucy chicken wings? Drumsticks are meatier and less messy than wings! Pack the baking pan of drummies in a portable carrier to take to picnics and sporting events.
Ingredients
- 14 oz can whole-berry cranberry sauce
- 12 oz bottle chili sauce
- 2 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 3 lbs chicken drumsticks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Garnish
- ranch or blue cheese salad dressing, celery sticks
How to Make It
- Combine cranberry sauce, chili sauce and red pepper flakes in a one gallon plastic zipping bag. Knead bag to mix. Remove ½ cup of sauce mixture and refrigerate. Pat drumsticks dry with a paper towel; add to bag. Seal bag and refrigerate for at least one hour. Remove drumsticks to a greased 13"x 9" glass baking pan, discarding sauce mixture in bag.
- Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes. Turn drumsticks over; baste with reserved sauce mixture. Bake for another 7 to 10 minutes, until chicken juices run clear when pierced. Serve drumsticks with salad dressing and celery sticks for dipping.
