Banana walnut recipe

This is a low-fodmap version of a classic smoothie with a hint of ginger. It uses half of an unripe banana because in 2017 bananas were retested and found only to be low-fodmap in this portion. If you tolerate ripe bananas, you can continue using them in your smoothies and beyond.

  • Yield: 1 Serving

Ingredients

  • ½ unripe banana, frozen
  • ½ cup oat milk
  • ¼ cup lactose-free yogurt
  • 5 walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon hemp hearts
  • One ½-inch piece peeled ginger
How to Make It
  1. Combine all the ingredients in blender and puree until smooth. Add ice, if desired.
