Ingredients
- 2 Granny Smith apples
- 1 cup granola
- ⅛ cup maple syrup
- ¼ cup apple juice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
How to Make It
- Peel and core the apples, then cut them into chunks or slices. In a large bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients and then stir in the apples. Label a 1-gallon freezer bag, place it in another large bowl, and pour in the mixture. Squeeze the remaining air out of the bag and seal it. Lay the bag flat to freeze. Serving Day
- On serving day, pour the contents of the freezer bag into the slow cooker, cover it, and cook on low for 4 hours.
